Empleo fully respects your right to privacy and are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Empleo will not collect or publish any personal information about you on our website without your permission. Any personal information which you volunteer will be treated with the highest standards of security and confidentiality, strictly in accordance with (“GDPR”).

For the purpose of the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 and the Data Protection Act 2018 (the “Act”), the data controller is Empleo whose registered office is at 20 Harcourt Street, Dublin 2.

We are committed to providing you with full and transparent information on how and why we collect and process personal data across our processing operations and to inform you of your rights under GDPR as a data subject.

Collection and use of Personal Data

Where you voluntarily submit your personal details and CV for the purposes of engaging our recruitment services we rely on Article 6(b) of the GDPR to provide the legal basis for collecting and processing your personal data for this purpose i.e. we require your personal data to fulfil the performance of this agreement with you. We also are required under this agreement to share your details with prospective employers. Where you apply for a specific role, we will share the details that you provide us with that specific organisation.

At any stage in this process you may choose to volunteer information to us which is classified under GDPR as special categories of data e.g. information relating to your health status, disability etc. Empleo do not require this information to provide recruitment services to you or to assess your application but where you feel that this information may be relevant for your application, we will treat this under the strictest confidence and only share this with prospective employers with your consent. We have collected explicit consent from you as required under Article 9(a) of the GDPR at the point which you forward your CV to us. You may withdraw this consent at any time by emailing us at louise@empleo.ie and we will remove this information from our database.

How do we collect your personal data?

What information do we collect?

We collect personally identifiable information (PII) that you provide to us, which is information that identifies you as an individual. This PII may include your:

• name

• address

• email address(s)

• phone number(s)

• education

• employment history

• CV and any other information required to provide you with job placement service

• We may source contact details through social media and reach out to you there

We collect data from you and process it in the provision of our services as a recruitment company. This involves receiving your data, highlighting your skills and competencies, making telephone contact with you, emailing you with positions that may be of interest to you, emailing and telephoning potential employers to advance your career prospects with those companies and sharing your data with those potential employers.

How do we share your personal data?

Your data is collected by and will be used only by employees of Empleo. We do not share your information with organisations other than those you are applying for.

Your information will only be shared with clients on a role by role basis where we forward your CV details and profile as a shortlist for a specific vacancy. Your approval will be expressly sought by our team to do this for each role that we shortlist you.

Your privacy is very important to us. Your personal data will not be shared with any organisation outside of Empleo. Only team members of the Company will ever have access to your data and we never sell our data to a 3rd party.

In the event of a purchase or sale of the business, the Company may disclose your personal data to third parties who are prospective buyers or sellers of such businesses or assets. If the Company or its assets are sold to a third party, personal data will be transferred as part of the transaction. However, the Company will ensure to the best of its ability that the privacy of your personal data is maintained on an ongoing basis.

How long will we use your personal data for?

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve Empleo purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements. Each individual has the right to withdraw their consent and have their personal information erased at any time.

Security of your personal data

We use appropriate technical, organisational and administrative security measures to protect any information we hold in our records from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and destruction.

While Empleo takes all due care in ensuring the privacy and integrity of the information that you provide to us, we recognise that no data transmission over the internet can be 100% guaranteed as secure. The possibility exists that this information could be unlawfully observed by a third party while in transit over the internet. Empleo accepts no liability should this occur.

Information we automatically collect

When you visit our website we collect certain information related to your device, such as your device’s IP address, referring website, what pages your device visited, and the time that your device visited our website. Information collected by cookies and other similar technologies – we use various technologies to collect information which may include saving cookies to users’ computers. Your Rights

Right of access – you have the right to request a copy of the personal data that we hold about you, together with other information about our processing of that personal data.

Right of rectification – you have a right to correct data that we hold about you that is inaccurate or incomplete in accordance with Section 87 and Section 89 of the Data Protection Act 2018.

Right to erasure – you have the right to request us to delete personal data that we hold about you.

Right to restriction of processing – you have the right to request that we no longer process your personal data for particular purposes, or to object to our processing of your personal data for particular purposes.

Right of data portability – subject to certain restrictions, you have the right to have the data we hold about you transferred to another organisation where we hold it in electronic form. This right of data portability applies to: (i) personal data that we process automatically (i.e. without any human intervention); (ii) personal data provided by you; and (iii) personal data that we process based on your consent or in order to fulfil a contract.

Right to object – you have the right to object to certain types of processing such as direct marketing.
